Volbeat Unleashes “By a Monster’s Hand”: A Powerful Return with New Album and Global Tour

Danish rock band Volbeat has unveiled “By a Monster’s Hand,” the lead single from their forthcoming ninth studio album, God of Angels Trust, scheduled for release on June 6, 2025. This track marks a significant moment for the band, being their first major release since the departure of longtime guitarist Rob Caggiano in June 2023.

“By a Monster’s Hand” showcases Volbeat’s signature blend of heavy riffs and melodic hooks. The song delivers driving guitars, mid-paced intensity, and anthemic vocals, reflecting the band’s intent to break away from traditional songwriting conventions.

The accompanying music video, directed by Adam Rothlein and produced by Ghost Atomic, features performance footage interwoven with a narrative following an unsettling character. This collaboration continues the creative partnership that brought fans previous Volbeat videos like “Shotgun Blues,” “Die to Live,” and “Leviathan.”

In support of the new album, Volbeat has announced the “Greatest of All Tours Worldwide,” a 70-date global tour commencing on June 7, 2025, in Vancouver, Canada. The tour includes co-headlining dates with Three Days Grace and special guests Wage War in Canada, followed by U.S. headlining shows featuring Halestorm and The Ghost Inside, and European dates with Bush and Gel.

Fans have shared their enthusiasm for the new single, with one Reddit user commenting, “This is probably my favorite song Volbeat has dropped since Outlaw Gentlemen came out. The riff just immediately hit.”

“By a Monster’s Hand” is now available for streaming on platforms like Spotify. The official music video can be viewed on Volbeat’s YouTube channel.

With God of Angels Trust, Volbeat embarks on a new chapter, embracing creative freedom and delivering fresh energy to their music.
