JISOO Finds Connection in an Abandoned Theme Park With ‘CLICK’ Official Music Video

JISOO is opening a new chapter in her solo career with “CLICK,” a romantic pop single that turns the feeling of instant chemistry into an elaborate science fiction love story. Released Sept. 4, the track serves as the first taste of the BLACKPINK star’s forthcoming debut full length solo album.

Directed by Joseph Kahn, the filmmaker behind videos for artists including Taylor Swift, Britney Spears and Eminem, “CLICK” transports JISOO to an abandoned amusement park seemingly forgotten by the outside world. She plays the park’s last sentient cyborg, quietly continuing her duties by tearing tickets and sweeping the empty grounds even though there are no visitors left.

Her lonely routine begins to change after she discovers a damaged robotic teddy bear. JISOO carefully repairs the character and brings it back to life, creating an unlikely companion in a place otherwise populated by dormant machines. Together, they gradually reactivate the park, bringing its rides, lights and forgotten animatronic inhabitants back to life.

The fantastical storyline gives a literal interpretation to the central idea behind “CLICK.” According to the song’s official album description, the track captures the moment when two people are drawn toward each other before they can fully explain why, with “click” representing an immediate connection that feels natural and unmistakable.

That idea becomes particularly fitting within the video’s unusual pairing. JISOO and the robotic bear come from different worlds, but their connection transforms the deserted amusement park around them. As more of the environment awakens, the visual shifts from isolation toward movement, music and companionship, making the park itself feel like an extension of the song’s romantic theme.

The production is also among JISOO’s most visually ambitious solo releases yet. Promo News reported that the effects heavy video required five months of daily VFX work, with Kahn building an elaborate world around its abandoned rides and animatronic characters. The director previously worked extensively with some of pop music’s biggest stars, and “CLICK” gives JISOO her own character driven cinematic universe.

Musically, “CLICK” pairs JISOO’s restrained vocals with sleek pop production and a romantic undercurrent. Sir Nolan and Simon Says produced the track, while JISOO shares songwriting credits with Caroline Ailin, Simon Wilcox, Sir Nolan and Simon Says. Its official credits also include string arrangements by Elise Yuka, mixing by Tony Maserati and mastering by Chris Gehringer.

The single follows a busy period in JISOO’s solo career. She released her debut EP, AMORTAGE, in February 2025, featuring “earthquake,” “Your Love,” “TEARS” and “Hugs & Kisses,” before teaming with Zayn later that year for “Eyes Closed.” “CLICK” now begins the rollout for her first full length solo record, though an album title and release date had not been announced at the time of the single’s arrival.

With “CLICK,” JISOO takes a simple idea about two people unexpectedly falling into sync and expands it into a bittersweet futuristic fairy tale. Between Joseph Kahn’s abandoned amusement park, the elaborate visual effects and the unlikely friendship at its center, the video turns instant attraction into something capable of bringing an entire forgotten world back to life.
