Idols 2 Rivals caught up with hip-hop artist Blacc Cuzz as he continues a legacy of impressive and unique new artists from the city of Pittsburgh with his new track “Current Situation”!

I2R: What inspired you to start music?
BC: What inspired me to do music was when I Brung Shawty Lo to Pittsburgh and he told me I should rap, I was only 16 years old
I2R: If you weren’t doing music what other career do you see yourself doing?
BC: If I wasn’t doing music I’d be focused on building my real estate company bigger and at a faster pace.
I2R: What do fans of yours have to look forward to in the near future, are there any surprises to come?
BC: In the future, my fans will see Blacc Cuzz with a machine behind him, a major label!
I2R: When you’re working, what inspires you or what do you draw inspiration from?
BC: What inspires me is myself; real sh!t that I experienced, things I’m going threw today that’s how I’m able to create.
I2R: Is there any advice you would like to give your younger self for coming into the music industry or something to help the songwriting/producing process?
BC: Yes, the advice I’ll give to younger creators is to learn the business understand everything about the business before putting music out, then put a solid team together
I2R: What’s the meaning of your track “current situation”?
BC: The meaning of Current Situation is my present time, an obstacle in my life that I’m going through today!

I2R: Where did you shoot the video for this song?
BC: We shooting the video in Atlanta and it will be dropping soon
I2R: What are your plans for the rest of the year?
BC: My plan the rest for the rest of the year is to blitz hard this fourth quarter get as many eyeballs to my single Current Situation as possible and hopefully drop an EP
I2R: Are you looking to stay independent?
BC: No I’m not looking to stay independent but I will not rush into a deal.
