Ice Spice & Lil Yachty Get Surreal in ‘Out My Face’ Official Music Video

Ice Spice and Lil Yachty have joined forces for “Out My Face (My Baby),” pairing their contrasting rap styles with a colorful, surreal music video that changes direction right alongside the song’s dramatic beat switch.

Released Aug. 28, “Out My Face (My Baby)” finds Ice Spice taking command of the track’s opening stretch before Lil Yachty arrives for its second half. The production comes from Cardo and Da Kids, with the song shifting between two distinct sounds that give each rapper space to bring their own personality to the collaboration.

The accompanying visual takes the same two part approach. Directed by AMD and Yachty, credited as Little Miles, the first half places Ice Spice in a series of increasingly surreal scenes. She appears inside a boardwalk style face cutout, performs surrounded by masks bearing her own face and even briefly appears pregnant, with the unexpected imagery giving the video an intentionally strange and playful edge.

That visual world changes when the beat does. Once Yachty enters the track, the action moves into a dimly lit diner filled with eccentric characters and details. Karrahboo and members of Yachty’s Concrete Boys collective also make brief appearances, adding to the chaotic atmosphere of the video’s second act.

The contrasting sections make “Out My Face” feel almost like two music videos stitched together. Ice Spice brings a quicker, more relentless delivery to the opening production, while Yachty takes advantage of the slower and more unpredictable second beat with his characteristically offbeat approach.

The collaboration arrives as Ice Spice continues building on the momentum of her post Y2K! releases. Her debut studio album arrived in 2024, and she has since followed it with tracks including “Big Guy,” recorded for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, and her Tokischa collaboration “Thootie.”

Yachty, meanwhile, continues a run of genre crossing releases and collaborations following his psychedelic leaning 2023 album Let’s Start Here. and Bad Cameo, his 2024 collaborative project with James Blake. More recently, he teamed with FKA twigs for “On Your Mind.”

With “Out My Face,” Ice Spice and Lil Yachty lean into the qualities that make both artists distinctive rather than forcing their styles into the same mold. The beat switch gives each rapper a separate playground, while the video transforms that musical contrast into a bizarre and memorable visual experience.

“Out My Face (My Baby)” is available now across streaming platforms, with the official music video streaming on YouTube.
